Paul does understand the idea of grace from two vantage points: what we receive from God through His Son, Jesus Christ and what our response to grace is to be. It is here that King Cyrus, a self-proclaimed pagan king, is used by God to bring God’s covenant people back to their place in the city of Jerusalem.
